Privacy policy for Endie for You
Effective 9 October 2026
Endie for You is a focus companion: Endie knits while you focus. This policy covers the Android app, the web version at helloendie.com/play, and this website, helloendie.com.
The short version
Endie for You doesn't collect, send, share or sell any information about you. Everything you do in it stays on your device. The only thing we ever keep is an email address you choose to leave on helloendie.com.
What the app keeps, and where
- Your focus sessions and their times, your tasks and thoughts, your journal, your drawings, her knitting and your settings are saved on your device only: in the app's own storage on Android, or in your browser's storage on the web.
- There's no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The Android app doesn't have permission to use the internet at all.
- Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
Backups
If backup is turned on for your Android device, Android may include the app's save in your device's backup to your Google account, so it can come back on a new phone. Google does this under your backup settings and Google's own privacy policy; we never see it. Only the save is backed up, not your device's own settings.
When you share
You choose when to download a copy of your save, share a picture from her easel, or bring a copy back. Those files go only where you send them.
Permissions on Android
- Notifications: to show a session's countdown, and to ring the bell when a focus ends.
- Alarms and reminders: so the bell rings on time.
- Playing in the background: so her music can keep playing while your phone is locked during a session you started.
None of these sends anything off your device.
If you leave your email on helloendie.com
- We keep your email address and the date you left it. Nothing else.
- We use it only to tell you when Endie is out on phones.
- It's stored with Cloudflare, which hosts helloendie.com. It's never sold, and never shared with anyone else.
- To have it deleted, write to hello@helloendie.com. We'll also delete it once there's nothing left to tell you.
The website
helloendie.com, and the web version on it, are hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the standard information a browser sends to load a page, such as your IP address, and may keep it in its server logs under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site uses no analytics or trackers, sets no cookies of its own, and loads nothing from anywhere else.
The web version's old address, endie-room.netlify.app, now only sends visitors here. Netlify, which hosts it, receives the same standard information when it does, under Netlify's privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes everything it saved. On the web, clear the site's data in your browser. For an email address you left on helloendie.com, see above.
Children
Endie for You isn't directed at children under 13. The app doesn't collect information from anyone, of any age, and we don't knowingly keep a child's email address.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
